Hopewell vs Phoebus

Updated: Dec 1, 2019

In the third round of the playoffs, the Hopewell Blue Devils played against the Phoebus Phantoms at home. This one would be a defensive battle as both teams came up with big stops. On Hopewell’s side Keyon Williams, and Zion Hubbard would be two of many that made big plays. As for Williams, he would be in the back field nearly every play to make a tackle. Hubbard on the other hand would have a clutch a interception late in the game. Offensively for the Devils, Trey Henderson, and Robert “Nook” Briggs would be the scorers. Joe Eliades would have a good game as well, trying to lead his team to another victory. Trey Henderson would score two touchdowns, including one that would put them up by two scores near the end of the game. Hopewell went on to win this game 19-6, winning the battle on both sides of the ball. They will play against Goochland next week.
