Last weekend, the Hopewell Lady Blue Devils faced off against the Booker T Washington Lady Mighty Bookers. Madison Tolbert led her to with 11 points, and 11 rebounds. Her incredible performance wouldn’t be enough for Hopewell to get the win. They lost to Booker T Washington in the second round of the playoffs with the score being 48-46. After an awesome season, these Ladies finish with a record of 19-5. Hopewell will be losing two Seniors (Ariel Green, and Madison Tolbert) after this season, but will have plenty of players with talent that can step up. Takiyah Purcell, and Alexis Edmonds are two of those players that have already showcased their talents. I look forward to hearing about their play next year, and wish them the best!
