Hopewell vs Matoaca (Girls' Basketball)

On Thursday, the Hopewell Blue Devils played against the Matoaca Warriors. Takiyah Purcell led the way, while having an impressive performance. Purcell had 30 points, 2 assists, and 12 rebounds. Her double-double would help the team out tremendously. Ariel Green also had a big game. Green contributed with 11 points, 6 assists, and 6 rebounds. Madison Tolbert had 10 points, 2 assists, and 4 rebounds. Those three played phenomenal defense together with a total of 9 steals. These ladies fought hard, and included their teammates in this game. Hopewell got the win over Matoaca 63-46. They play against John Marshall at home on Monday.
