On Friday night, the Hopewell Blue Devils played against the Matoaca Warriors. Elvin Edmonds led the way with 29 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds. He also had 3 steals defensively. Cartier Strickland was the next best scorer with 13 points. Strickland was also able to get fast-break points for his team. Dennard Hutchinson had a big game as well. The big man had 10 points, and 6 rebounds. While protecting the rim, he had 5 blocks. Hopewell was able to get a win over Matoaca with the score being 76-60. They are now 12-2 on the season.
