Hopewell vs IC Norcom

In their second playoff game, the Hopewell Blue Devils played against the IC Norcom Greyhounds. Turnovers would be key in this game for the Devils, allowing the offense to put points on the board early. In the first half Hopewell would score four TDs. Three of which would come from Trey Henderson (two rushing, one receiving). The other one would come from Robert “Nook” Briggs (rushing). The offensive line would do a great job protecting the QB, and also making way for the two RBs on their way to the end zone. Defensively things would be great. As I previously stated, they forced many turnovers to help the team as a whole. In the second half, things would be slower. They would not have the ball very much in the second half, therefore they would only score once in this half. Their lone touchdown would be a rushing TD from QB Joseph Eliades. Eliades would have a great game also. He was able to find the open receiver, and scramble when needed. The defense would again be great, but let up for one touchdown. Even after they let up the touchdown, they would give their best effort when blocking the extra point attempt. Hopewell went on to win this game 35-6, and will play against Phoebus next week.
