On Friday, the Hopewell Blue Devils played against the Colonial Heights Colonials. The Devils were once again led by Elvin Edmonds, who had a great night. This night was not only great for him, because of his play in this game, but also because of the milestone he reached. Elvin was able to reach 1000 career points. This is an outstanding accomplishment, for a player who is not done yet. I expect Elvin to reach many more milestones within his career, and possibly even this season. He had 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals in this game. Dennard Hutchinson had 16 points, and 5 rebounds in his effort to help the team. Kaleb Coleman had a good game all-around, with 9 points, 7 assists, and 7 assists. Once again Hopewell played great team ball, finding the best plays possible for their situations. They got a win against Colonial Heights 73-44, and will play against Life Christian Academy on Friday.
