In their game against the Colonial Heights Colonials, the Hopewell Blue Devils came into the game with a 2-2 record. They would be wanting to bounce back after their last game. Hopewell played great defensively in this game. Ariel Green was one of the leading players on that end of the court, as she had 5 steals. This went along with what she had offensively (10 points,6 rebounds, and 4 assists). The Blue Devils played well offensively as well. Due to their unselfish play, everyone was able to find a way to score. Takiyah Purcell had 16 points, and 5 rebounds. Bobbie White had 14 points, and 7 rebounds. Alexis Edmonds 13 points, and 8 rebounds. These girls played great basketball in this game in all areas. They got a win in a blowout fashion over Colonial Heights, with the score being 73-14. Due to the fact that they are still very young, I think with the help of Coach Edmonds, they will make many improvements throughout the season. With that being said Hopewell will play against Central Virginia Disciples next Tuesday.
