The Start of a Promising Offense?

This past Saturday, the Miami Hurricanes played the North Carolina Tar Heels. In this hard fought game, Miami had many problems that led to them losing this game. Although the offense played a lot better than they did last week. One of their biggest problems was the Special Teams unit. The kicker really struggled in this game missing key kicks, one being a 28-yarder, and the other a 49-yarder. Though he missed these kicks, he had the ability to make a personal record, 50-yard field goal kick. This fact doesn't make much sense to me, but of course I'm not a kicker. The struggling Special Teams caused the offense to get risky, going for it on fourth, which was not a success. Also going for a two-point conversion, after a Jarren to Will Mallory TD. Another problem we had as a team was our defense didn't play like its usual self. Our usual good pass defense did not show up to this game. Key player Trajan Bandy, definitely didn't play like himself in this game. We had a 4th and 17, that seemed like it would be easy to stop. Instead we ran a zone defense, when we should've ran man-to-man. This allowed the North Carolina offense to eventually score a crushing touchdown. Jarren Williams, and KJ Osborn are two of the players I was impressed with despite the loss. Williams was able to make the best plays he could, with an improved Offensive Line. The connection to Osborn was a key factor in the game for the Canes. Williams was able to finish the game with 309 passing yards, along with 2 TDs. Though I'm not sure how much hope is left in the season, I hope we can win against Bethune-Cookman next week, and get on roll.
