Yesterday afternoon, the North Carolina Tar Heels played against the Virginia Cavaliers. Despite having their troubles so far this season, North Carolina was looking to get a statement win against Virginia. In this game the Tar Heels struggled defensively against a poor offensive team. Virginia was able to find weak spots in the defense by shooting threes and running the “pick and roll”. Cole Anthony wouldn’t shoot the ball very well but led the team in points with 12. Armando Bacot came back from the injury he suffered last game. He shot efficiently and scored 11 points. North Carolina would lose yet another game due to their lack of defense, and inability to shoot the three. They lost this game 56-47, and will play against Wofford on Sunday.
