Miami vs Virginia Tech

This weekend the Miami Hurricanes played the Virginia Tech Hokies at home. The Hurricanes would make this game very difficult on themselves early on. In the first half there would be a change at QB due to Jarren Williams throwing his first three interceptions in the first quarter. We found out that Jarren had a shoulder injury that had been bothering him. The defense also struggled early, forcing the offense to pass. N’kosi Perry would replace the start Jarren Williams. He would throw a hail mary touchdown to Mark Pope going into the half. The Hurricanes would look to rally back in the second half making great plays that would result into TDs. Deejay Dallas would make two big plays late, one being a 2-pt conversion, and then the other being a TD. Unfortunately though struggling kicker Bubba Baxa would miss an XP to put the team up by one. On the defensive side, Blake Baker couldn’t make the right calls resulting in the defense being lit up. This was not like our defense, who has been one of the best units over the past three seasons. They would be terrible on third downs throughout the whole game. When in a clutch situation under a minute the offense could not get in the endzone despite being on the goalline. The Canes would lose in a heartbreaking game against the Hokies 42-35.
